Experienced Class A Hazmat Tanker Drivers for OTR Cryogenic Hauling

The qualified driver in this tanker position will safely deliver various cryogenics to assigned customer locations. Driver will communicate daily with district manager and field supervisor to ensure customer service levels and efficiency of operations. Drivers will follow all Coastal Plains Trucking policies, procedures and adherence to DOT and OSHA laws and regulations.

This is a 48 State OTR / sleeper position, we keep drivers very busy with a steady flow of work. All CPT tractors are equipped with forward and reverse facing dash cameras. Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Benefits
  • .67cpm paid off hub, loaded and unloaded once set to solo status
  • $25 hourly (straight time) loading and unloading pay once set to solo status
  • $24 an hour (straight time) orientation & training pay
  • $1,809 weekly guarantee once set to solo status; must be present and available for dispatch
  • $43 daily per diem when on dispatch
  • 24/8 schedule travel on first and last day off

Qualifications and Skills
Include, but not limited to:
  • 2 years required verifiable CDL-A driving experience in the last 5 years, and both Hazmat & Tanker endorsement's required for all other positions.
  • OTR experience and tanker experience preferred.
  • TWIC card process must be started before an offer is made, receipt required.
  • No more than 3 moving violation in the past 5 years.
  • No more than 1 at fault crash in a non-CMV the past 5 years.
  • No at fault crash in a CMV in the last 5 years.
  • Ability to work 12-14-hour shifts.
  • Lift approximately 50-75 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Pass pre-employment screens: D&A, background screens, MVR, PSP, FMCSA Clearinghouse.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures properly.
  • Felony/drug and alcohol related charges must be over 5 years old.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive and operate company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to safely drive tractor trailer loaded and unloaded with Cryogenics.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
  • Calm and professional demeanor, in control of workload and able to handle multiple tasks and interruptions.
  • Follow all DOT Laws, pre- and post-trip, hours of service.
  • Follow all company procedures, and guidelines, DOT and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate driver's license CDL-A with Tanker & Hazmat.
  • Maintain TWIC card.
  • Maintains truck cleanliness and performs general maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Other functions as directed by supervisor.
